THE ICONIC: Runway X
Following the buzz around Meta and Web 3.0, THE ICONIC had a huge vision for their 2022 runway show. In an Australian first, THE ICONIC wanted to translate the ambiguity of this new virtual world into a universe that felt tangible and exciting to their everyday customer. Runway X captures the magic and surrealism of the future in a unique, playful way. Runway X presented over 150 looks with international brands, using a diverse and inclusive lineup of talent. These looks were translated from catwalk to a series of “meta mirrors” that reflected their virtual avatars in real-time to create a metaphysical performance. The mirrors existed as a doorway to the future, the connection to our virtual self, without expressive limitations.
All graphics and art direction was designed to feel fluid and transformative to visually reflect the flux of our meta-beings.
